Our Commitment to our Guests & Team members regarding COVID-19

Cavo Orient has the health, safety and security of our guests and team members as our highest priority.

Cavo Orient Team has created new operating procedures and guidelines including a response plan regarding the exposure and prevention of the COVID-19 spread. These will be implemented across the hotel in order to keep our guests, employees and the wider community healthy and safe.
Our goal is to offer the high quality services we are known for and at the same time, secure the safety and health of our guests and team members in all areas of operations. These procedures will see new ways of working in all departments including Reception, Housekeeping, Restaurants, Bars, Kitchens, Maintenance, Staff areas, Fitness and Gym areas, Swimming pools and other areas of operation.

The new measures aim to cover a wide range of hotel operations and we have paid close attention to the World Health Organisation recommendations as well as the European and National legal requirements considering the COVID-19 preventative measures and includes an emergency plan in case of a suspected or confirmed case.
It is important we update you on the actions and measures we have taken in response to the outbreak to ensure your safety and protection during your stay with us.

Based on the COVID-19 protocols our check-in time is at 15:00 and check out time is at 11:00

Arrival – Departure

  • On-line check in is preferable and it is available in our website
  • The hotel may monitor optionally the body temperature measurements of its guests on the arrival.
  • All guests should use the antiseptic dispensers provided before proceeding to reception desk.
  • All guests should keep the appropriate distance (2m) while waiting to the reception, on the marked positions.
  • Payments are preferred to be done with electronic alternatives (POS machines).
  • Check-in time: 15.00
  • Key cards will be disinfected after each departure.
  • Check-out time: 11.00


  • On-line check in is preferable and it is available in our website
  • When approaching the Reception desk please ensure that 2 meters distance is kept.
  • Protective screens will be visible on reception desks and a 2metre distancing policy in place.
  • Frequent disinfection of the reception area.
  • Medical Assistance: If you feel unwell or experiencing respiratory symptoms, please contact the Reception desk to seek advice

Guest Rooms

  • All non-essential items such as magazines, stationary, tea and coffee facilities and decorative pillows and covers will be removed from all rooms.
  • The frequent cleaning of rooms during the stay of guests is avoided. The daily change of sheets, pillowcases and towels is avoided. If you wish to refresh them, please inform reception 1 day earlier.
  • Room cleaning will take place only when guests are not in the room and by using suitable disinfectant as recommended by the local government.
  • Personal protective equipment will be worn by every team member and will be changed for each room cleaning.
  • All hard surfaces and frequently used items such as switches and remote controls will be disinfected.
  • All A/C in the rooms are adjusted to work with open doors, allowing natural ventilation in rooms. Regular maintenance and disinfection of filters.
  • A deep clean and disinfection and extensive room ventilation will take place prior to a guests check-in.

Public Areas

  • All public areas have been modified in order to secure safe distances.
  • Extensive cleaning and disinfection program will take place during the season, focusing on “high-frequency touch points”.
  • Max 2 guests permitted in elevators or a family.

Bars & Restaurants

  • Please use antiseptic to disinfect your hands when entering and before leaving restaurants and bars.
  • Team members will wear personal protective equipment at all times.
  • All restaurants will be re-designed to allow 1.5 – 2metre distancing between tables or otherwise instructed by the Local Government.
  • Single use table cloths and napkins will be in operation for all restaurants.
  • All bar areas will be re-designed and follow strict procedures to allow 1.5 – 2metre social distancing.

Beach, Swimming Pools & Surrounding Areas

  • Guests should observe social distancing measures when using the hotel pools.
  • Sun umbrellas are placed with at least 4m distance
  • Sun beds are arranged with a distance of 2m
  • Disinfection of sunbeds, pool areas and equipment will take place throughout the day.
  • Pool water will be treated with appropriate disinfection products and as per extensive company procedures for water management.
  • Jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath will not be available for use.
  • The maximum amount of swimmers in the main swimming pool is 62 guests.

Facilities & Activities

  • The entertainment night activities have been suspended for avoiding overcrowding.
  • The kid’s entertainment activities have been suspended.
  • The pool activities (aqua Zumba, aqua aerobics) as well as yoga courses are suspended.
  • Gym facilities are only available after appointment arranged at the reception.

Maintenance Department

  • Any maintenance required in guest rooms will be done so by appointment and ONLY when the guests are not present in the room.
  • Each team member will wear personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Working areas will be disinfected before and after the work is carried out.

General Information

  • Front office personnel are willing to inform guests on the hotel’s rules and the new measures taken, upon guest’s request.
  • All guests should provide hotel with all their necessary personal details, which they will be used only for public health protection reasons.
  • The hotel will continuously remind guests all the necessary measures and restrictions. In cases of not compliance with the rules, the hotel holds the right to enforce strict measures for protecting public health.
